Food pairing: Pistachios

I love this wine, the easy taste that's just perfect for a Friday night wind down after the week at work, with a bowl of salted pistachios and Friends on the TV. I also love the bottle, it looks old and vintage and slightly corny. Its a great wine and yes, even better, its cheap!

Food pairing: Lasagne and salad

Looked an ugly bottle sitting on the shelf - more like a brandy bottle with screwcap. Excellent value for money though. Smooth and uncomplicated. Fruity.

Food pairing: French bread and brie

A good bye from Sainsburys: only £3.99 and yet lots of flavour and fruit, though slightly sweet. Reminded me of drinking wine on holiday in France with a hunk of French bread and some lovely cheese - cheap but cheerful.
