Food pairing: Fillet steak with crisp green salad.
I experienced this wine sitting in a bar in San Francisco watching the Red Socks win the baseball of some sort [ok, my knowledge is a bit sketchy there but the Americans were very excited whatever it was].
There was a music industry type there buying all the drinks - hey lifestyles of the rich and famous, thats me! - and he was buying this wine. Mark and I both took a fancy to it and searched it out in some San Fran wine shops only to discover its starting retail price is about $75.
Lucky we didn't have to buy a round :-)
