Food pairing: Slow-roasted meat (lamb or pork), or good bellota ham.
Extremely dark, inky blue/black colour. Heady, exciting aromas of blue and black berries, liquorice, tar and woodsmoke. Huge concentration of fruit and sweet spice (vanilla, cloves, nutmeg). Unctuous, voluptuous, expansive, opulent wine. A great value at something like €15 in Spain, equivalent to about £10. Should age like all good Riberas, to grow into something complex, multi-layered and memorable. They're also getting quite powerful these modern Riberas: this one's 14.5% alc. b.v.
