Food pairing: Best poured down the sink or given to a neighbour you don't like.
Listen to this: "... mellow balance between fruit sweetness and savoury tannins, leading to a silky finish with intense dark fruit characters." It's Montana's own description of this wine on the label. It is neither balanced nor silky, and it is certainly not intense! It's another rather watery red from New Zealand: a quite pleasant bouquet with a monotonous aroma of yellowing grass and raspberry leads to a forgettable, lop-sided wine of unnecessary acidity and astringency with practically no character except tired boots and a distant suggestion of fruit. Pointless.
