Food pairing: picnics
This is a very good wine especially at 4.99 a bottle from Majestic or 3.99 if you buy 2.
It has an intense nose of pineapples and pears along with the usual sauvignon aromas. In the mouth again it is intense with a good balance of acidity and maybe just a touch of spice. It also has a good weight and a reasonable finish.
It's a wine I would happily drink on its own on a summers day especially at a picnic. I hadn't tasted a gros manseng before - I'm impressed!
