Food pairing: chicken & mushroom risotto.. bliss!
Having seen this on a TV programme Saturday Morning Kitchen (don't ask!), they reviewed this bottle in tesco and gave it a raving review.
This wine has a very fruity / citrus flavour to it at first, and then results in a long mellow almost woody tone. Very enjoyable.
You can pick it up at Tesco till around mid march for under £4, and it's well worth it. I've stocked up :)

Food pairing:
Tesco seem to have this wine purely to put it on offer. Not that I'm complaining. It's charged with zingy gooseberry fruit, full of long flavour. A good match to Marlboroughs at twice the price. Clean and zingy on the nose; less focused on the palate than most Marlboroughs, but at £3.49 (the offer price), this is really quite excellent. If you like Marlborough sauvignon, this will go down very well.
