Much more like Chablis than your typical New World Chardonnay - steely, minerally, flinty, tightly bound by an unapologetic, tart acidity, and revealing a sumptuous, decadent, creamy finish of considerable complexity - melon, apples, orchard, raw rhubarb, and, someone insisted, "pear drops". Great.
Superb on its own. Had it with slow roast pork belly.
