A delightful fully mature Claret. The nose in this sample has developed into something quite meaty and earthy with an underpinning of black fruits - it is distinctive enough to perhaps show a little dung/undergrowth characters that I know many dislike, but personally, in such small quantities such as here, it just adds to the complexity. The palate is smooth and silky just crying out for a slice or two of lamb or beef. A claret at its peak of drinking.
