About Bottletalk

Bottletalk is a free online service for people who love wine. Bottletalk makes it easy to:

• store details of the wines you have drunk and what you thought of them in your personalised area
• share your wine experiences with friends, family and other wine lovers
• rate and tag wines for easy reference
• discover new wines you'd like to drink and store these in your 'wanted' section
• buy wines easily from online retailers

Signing up

Joining the site couldn't be easier, and it's completely free. Once you're signed up you will have your own personal wine profile page, and you'll be able to add wine experiences, add wines to the site and mark wines as wanted.

Your wine profile

Your personalised area keeps a list of your tasted wines, with your wine experiences, your wanted wines list, your wine style and latest wines added by your friends, all in one handy page.

Send your wine loving friends and family here to find out what you've been drinking, what you think of it, and what they should be buying you for Christmas!

Your tasted wines

This is your own personal list of the wines you have tasted and what you thought of them. An easy way to keep a wine journal, that you can either keep to yourself for your own reference or share with your friends.

Your wanted list

Browse around the site and anything that takes your fancy you can add it to your Wanted List. The next time you are shopping for wine, or looking for something special make sure to check your Wanted List. Or why not direct your friends and family here when you have a birthday coming up? Lots of the wines on Bottletalk also have a link to a UK retailer, making it even easier to fill up your wine rack.

Your wine friends

Invite your friends and family to join Bottletalk, or browse around the site to find some like-minded folk. Once someone is added to your Friends list, you'll always know what they've been drinking and what they thought of it when you visit your Friends' page. You can even get email alerts when your Friends have added new wine experiences.

Your tasting tags

This is your personal list of tasting tags - the keywords you have added to the wines you have reviewed. Your tasting tags allows you to easily navigate through your tasted wines by flavour or other wine characteristics.

Bottletalk is brought to you by Bottletalk Ltd., a collection of friends who like to share wine, just like you. We also know a thing or two about developing web sites. We are Emma Goddard, Mark Goddard and David Percival.
